How to uninstall apps on the Mac
There are a lot of great apps for the Mac. Many of them you use regularly, but som of the apps may be redundant and simply takes up storage from your hard drive. Let’s have a look at how to uninstall apps on the Mac.
NB! If you’re uninstalling i.e. MacKeeper of Microsoft Office you should use a third party app called AppTrap or something similar to make sure you remove all files connected to the app. Learn more about this in “The Ultimate Mac course”
Uninstalling from Applications folder
The first way to do it is through Finder. Open a new Finder window and go to the Applications folder. Find the app you want to get rid of and drag and drop it into the Trash. Remember to empty the Trash by secondary clicking the icon in the Dock and click empty Trash.
Uninstalling through Launchpad
You can also find the app you want to uninstall through Launchpad. Click and hold the app until it starts to shake. Then click the X in the top left corner of the app and click delete.
